In fact, Violet Evergarden: The Movie will be available in U.S. theaters on April 5.

Prequels

If there's a Prequels to Violet Evergarden movie in the works, you're in for a treat. The young lady who Violet tutors is a girl from a private women's academy. Violet still grieves the loss of the only person who brought her happiness. She'll try her best to make things right by helping her student, but her past keeps getting in the way.

The television show is a sort of prequel to the film. Set four years after the war, the series has a different plot line than the movie. It also follows the same characters from the first movie but moves the time frame to a later point, after Violet is eighteen.
